Auchingoul Cottage

Auchingoul Cottage was originally an old farm workers’ home, but was converted in 2002 to a spacious and luxury holiday cottage which sleeps four people. Downstairs is an open plan fully equipped kitchen, dining and lounge area, with comfortable sofas, TV DVD player, a selection of films, books and a log burner to ensure the evenings are warm and cosy.

Logs for the wood burner are provided free of charge. Wifi is also available free of charge. The twin bedroom and bathroom with shower are also downstairs.

Upstairs is a mezzanine balcony where you can sit and relax with a book, and a spacious double bedroom which overlooks your private courtyard with table, chairs and barbecue.

John Campbell & Family

Fantastic location. Lovely and peaceful (although our crazy kids and dogs probably broke the silence for a couple of days!). Cottage was beautiful and very cosy. Lovely walks around the extensive grounds. Right next to walks by the river and my oldest boy was fascinated watching the fishermen. Dogs loved it, kids loved it, we loved it and Ally and Jason were the perfect hosts. In addition…. The tip they will give you about Portsoy icecream? They aren’t kidding when they say how good it is! We will definitely be back…looking forward to it, and so are the dogs!

The fact we couldn’t stay longer 🙂

The cottage was spotless and very warm and cosy. It was exactly as described on the web site. Inside it’s very well organised with everything you need for a short break. The log stove was lovely in the evening and kept us all cosy. The kitchen tableware and cutlery were spotless. There was loads of hot water. All the windows were equipped with either curtains or blinds that worked. The bed linen was to a high standard and the beds were comfy. A nice touch on arrival having the log stove set to light along with matches, fire lighters and baskets ready with kindling and logs. The kids really appreciated the filled up biscuit jar on arrival. Please do not hesitate to book this beautiful cottage for a wee relaxing getaway especially during these stressful times !. It’s also well situated for exploring the surrounding countryside. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. A great wee find for a break in the countryside
