Swallow Cottage

Our largest cottage, this spacious and beautifully furnished holiday home sleeps up to seven guests, with fabulous views of the beautiful surrounding countryside to be seen from every window. At the front of the property is a private walled garden, and to the back a private balcony with table and chairs where you can relax in the evening with a wee dram and watch the sun set over the hills and fields in which grows the barley for the many whisky distilleries in the area which you can visit.

Inside there is a conservatory which leads on to a spacious open plan living area, with fully equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable living room, complete with cosy log burner, TV, DVD player and a selection of films and books . One of the sofas converts into a double bed, and there is a bathroom with walk-in shower and WC also downstairs.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, one a large double bedroom with an extra single bed, and the other a twin bedroom. There is also a WC upstairs.

Logs for the wood burner are provided free of charge, and in addition there is oil-fired central heating for those chilly nights.  You can bring up to two well-behaved pets by prior arrangement free of charge.

WIFI is free of charge and unlimited.

Family Holiday at Swallow Cottage – Trip Advisor Review

Thank you for a great week Ally and Jason in Swallow Cottage. Great location in a beautiful area. On our first night when we sat outside we saw deer and a buzzard hovering over the trees. When it was dark bats were flying over our heads. It is also a great spot for star gazing. If you go for a walk by the river you might be lucky like we were and see an Otter and Kingfishers. The cottage itself was more than adequate for our needs and the owners live on site so any probs we could let them know. Highly recommend staying here we loved it.

Luxury Cottage near the River: Overall rating *****

Fantastic cottage for the family we really enjoyed our stay. Lovely area for walking and touring around the area. We travelled to the amazing Cairngorms on a couple of days and the the surrounding castles and national trust areas on others.
